How to ducking samples via Sidechain in Propellerheads Reason

Some electronic samples (pads,arps,basslines e.g) are best creative use with an ducking effekt.

Here are a example to use this Effekt in Propellerheads Reason

1. Create or load your Reason Interface and add a NN19 Sampler.

2. Then add to the NN19 the compressor:

3. Create a disconnected Redrum

4. Turn the Rack via Tab

5. Connect the Redrum to the Compressors sidechain input (L+R)

6. Load a bassdrum sample for ducking sequence in the Redrum, and build a 4/4 step.

7. Setup Compressor to ratio 16:1 and a -30.0 db treshold.

8. If you want, so diskwrite the ducker sequence from redrum to the sequenzer if you want to turn on/off sidechain effekt. If not, let the redrum play all the time.

9. Select MIDI to play the NN19 and hear the effekt.

10. Be creative!
